The Scope: This new edition is beefed up with Chris Brown goodness. Round two. Ding ding.
Chris Brown can move. And thank fuck he can sing otherwise my CD reviewing experience could’ve been a long one. Last time I had anything to do with Mr Brown was when he supported Beyonce on her Australian tour. I sat and watched in admiration (okay I swooned) at his ultra-smooth dance moves and his infectious hit single Run It. Not bad for a lil’ tacker that hasn’t even turned 20 yet. But dance moves and hit singles aside; Chris Brown has re-released Exclusive: The Forever Edition as a follow up to his original version last year. Of course its bigger, better (and wetter) than the previous release as the 2008 edition features four brand new tracks, a remix and an exclusive DVD containing concert and rare behind the scenes footage. A quintet of hip hop’s heavy weights including the hot-right-now Lil Wayne, will.i.am, The Game, Kanye West and T-Pain come to the table to help Chris Brown’s style that weaves in and out of pop songs to ballads and back to catchy rhymes again.
The Wrap: Please dismal all ‘what’s the point of a limited edition album’ thoughts right now. I did.
