WHERE: 9a Light Square Adelaide

While it may not be your local pub you frequent, or the club you hang out at every weekend, Viva is undeniably the hotspot of the mo’. Tucked away in Light Square between a car park and the Night Train Entertainment Complex, the club has been home to almost every hip hop show as of late. From a promoter’s point of view, there are many drawcards as to why you would hold a show there. It could be due to the spaciousness upstairs of the Night Train Entertainment Complex. Or the decent sized bar stocking your entire bar faves. Perhaps even the positioning of the stage for the acts to play. Oh, and the decent number of toilets help, along with the ample parking around the venue. Not to mention comfy couches and chairs sprinkled around the place. But the final attraction would be the big time acts having previously played including Akrobatik, DJ Babu and Rakaa Iriscience, Louis Logic and RA the Rugged Man. More recently, the Obese Block Party took to the stage with the local brilliance of Terra Firma, Sevva, Staen 1, Vents and interstaters Pegz, DJ Bonez and Muph & Plutonic. Viva is the place to hold or hip hop show or four, and the place to go. Viva, Viva.
