Big Day Out gets its third injection of acts
09.12.09There's no doubt about it, this year's Big Day Out is definitely geared towards an older crowd. Just check out the third line-up announcement here. At least the local acts give us young 'uns something to smile about.
The Big Day Out has caused quite the stir this year. The line-up of bands has made some salivate, and others scorn. Whatever the case, the Adelaide leg of the Big Day Out tour has sold out in record time, so the peeps putting it together must be doing something right. Here's the third line-up of acts just announced (under-35s may want to have Wikipedia open in another window):

Remember seeing Numbskulls, ASD etc a while back, they blew away a lot of the main acts. Theres some great music from Adelaide at the moment hearing from DDD, couldnt give a stuff about the main acts. Looking forward to it...

It's like someone bought a box of Cadbury Milk Tray, sucked all the chocolate off the scorched almonds, had a bite of the Turkish Delight, licked at the coconut delight and then dropped a dog nugget in the box to make up for the treats that are missing. What a woeful line-up of international and national acts - surely the Big Day Out got these clowns in some cheap-arse stocktake sale at The Warehouse? Plenty of variety in the local artists bill though - nice work kids.
